 Bill Lowes, grandson of John Lowes left Santa Rosa Valley when five  years old with his dog to find help for his family in Santa Rosa Valley, Bill walked all the way to his Aunt Stella Wilson's home in Moorpark. The father was too ill to travel and his mother had died in his father's arms with all his brothers and sister's ill as well.
